Who is the course for:
Developed for for companies who wish to increase that their employees skills in welding or prove their competency levels .
What is covered?
Work within the Health and Safety requirements appertaining to Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding equipment, process and working environment.
Introduce TIG welding theory and principles, including Stainless Steel, Low Carbon Steel, and Aluminium.
Describe weld defects pertinent to TIG welding.
Define basic and supplementary welding/cutting symbols.
Describe the function and effects of shielding gases used in the TIG welding process.
Describe a Welding Procedure Specification and the need for such documents.
ISO 9606-1 or ISO 9606-2 butt weld qualification in 6mm steel or Aluminium
What qualification is awarded?
All Candidates will be awarded our attendance certificate
Successful candidates of the welder qualification test will be award a welder qualification to ISO 9606
